4’ tall x 4 3/4’ wide with an open habit. Flowers Deep Pink (50B) with a Strong Red (50A) blotch. Double to semidouble with up to 18 (5 + 8 + 5) petals, funnel-shaped, oval-rounded, overlapping lobes, frilly edges, 3” wide x 1 3/4” long, 1-3 per cluster. Blooms early midseason (early to mid May in Oak Hill, VA). Calyx Strong Yellow-Green (143B), 1/16” long. Zone 7, at least. Foliage Moderate Olive-Green (137A), semiglossy. Leaf shape: elliptic, cuneate base, acuminate tip, concave (side-to-side), up to 2 1/2” long x 1” wide. Zone 7, at least. Selection number: RBS 189. Breeder code #2-1997-15.
