| 3’ tall x 3 ¾’ wide. Flowers Strong Reddish-Purple (N78B) with a Strong Reddish-Purple (N78A) blotch. Hose-in-Hose, funnel-shaped with 10 (5 + 5) rounded, overlapping, frilly-edged lobes, 2 ¾” wide x 1 ¾” long, 3 per cluster. Blooms early (mid to late April in Oak Hill, VA). Calyx absent. Foliage a matte Strong Yellow-Green (144A). Leaves elliptic with a cuneate base and acuminate tip, concave, up to 2 ½” long x 1 ¼” wide. Zone 7; hardy to 0 F, at least.
