| Product of evergreen x deciduous crossing done by the late Robert Lee Pryor. The breeder's number is 75-305. Refer to This article for more information on the Pryor breeding. Yes, it's not very yellow... but it is a piece of history. The parentage is given in the article and involves Pink Macrantha which is a Rhododendron indicum derivative (today we would say Pink Macranthum) and R. prunifolium, but it is rather complicated. | |||||
