| Flowers Strong Red (46A) with a Dark Red (59A) blotch. Double to semidouble with 16 petals, funnel-shaped with rounded lobes and wavy edges, 2 1/2” wide x 1 1/2” long, 2-3 per cluster. Stamens absent, red pistil usually present. Blooms early-midseason (early May in Vienna, VA). Calyx Strong Yellow-Green (144A), 3/16” long. Foliage Moderate Olive-Green (146A), semiglossy. Leaf shape: elliptical with a cuneate base, and braodly acute tip, margins flat, up to 1 1/4” long x 1/2” wide. Zone 7. Readily sets seed. Breeder code: C8-13-52.
