| 1 ½’ x 2’ wide (1.3’ x 1.5’ in 8 years). Flowers deep purplish-pink (73A) with very pale purple (73D) centers of varying size in each flower. Semidouble, broadly funnel-shaped, with 5 wavy-edged lobes and 8-9 wavy-edged petaloid stamens, 2-3 per head; 2 ½” x 1 ½” wide. Blooms late; late May to early June in Derwood, MD. Calyx light green, 0.2” long. Leaves glossy, moderate olvie-green (147A) with discrete yellow hairs below and on petiole; elliptic, decurved edges, cuneate base, broadly acute apex, 0.9” x 0.5”. Plant and bud hardy to -8 F, at least. | |||||
