Good branching habit. Flowers variable: white with vivid yellowish-red sectors and stripes, orangish-red specks, and a yellowish-green blotch; some moderate yellowish-pink with an irregular white margin and darker bloth, others are solid dark yellowish-pink with a darker blotch. Single , funnel-shaped, with rounded, overlapping lobes that appear pointed, smooth margins, 2" wide. Blooms late mideseason (early Satsuki season); late May in Oak Hill, VA. Foliage shiny. Leaves thick. Zone 7, at least. 'Shinkyo' x 'Yama-no-Hikari'. BG1294. Translation: Spring Water in Morning Sun.
