5’ x 3-4’, upright. Flowers light to pale purplish-pink (55C-D) slightly tinged with a light tint of strong pink (52D), shading to white at the base. Pale yellow blotch (160D) with light yellow (160B) over the blotch and strong red spotting (53D) over the pink background. Single with 5 rounded, overlapping lobes of good substance, 2 ½” wide x 1 ¾”, 2-4 per bud. Blooms midseason;early to mid May.Calyx strong yellow-green (144C), ¼” long. Leaves strong yellowish-green (144A-B) with appressed yellowish-brown hairs above and below, Leaf shape: elliptic to broadly elliptic, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, 1 ½” x 7/8” wide. Hardy to -10 F. |
