'Chitose Nishiki', 'Chitosenishiki'
2’ x 3’ wide, slow to moderate growth habit and spreading. Flowers variable: white with light to strong purplish-pink sectors, stripes and selfs; some moderate purplish-pink with irregular white margins and darker pink sectors and stripes. Single, trumpet-shaped, with rounded, broadly overlapping lobes and wavy edges, 1 ½-2 ½ ” wide. Blooms late midseason (Satsuki midseason=late May). Leaves small. Zone 7, at least. Parentage unknown. Translation: Brocade of a Thousand Years.
