| 4-5' x 3½-4' wide, slow growing, densely branched, usually taller than wide, compact. Flowers deep red. Single, trumpet-shaped, with rounded overlapping lobes, large. Blooms very heavily in midseason. Leaves glossy dark green, burgundy-red to bronzy-purple in fall and winter. Zones 6-8. Van Nes introduction, 1963. | |||||
