| Flowers highly variable: 1) white with moderate purplish-pink and purplish-red sectors, stripes and lines; 2) fukurin: moderate purplish-pink with irregular white margins and dark red lines and blotch; 3) bicolor dark red with pink centers; 4) dark red selfs. Single, star-shaped with 5-6 keeled (appearing pointed), broadly overlapping oval lobes with smooth edges, some laterals cupped, medium in size. Blooms midseason (Satsuki early season). Leaves medium in size. ‘Suisen’, Satsuki x ‘Ai-no-Tsuki’, Satsuki. Translation: Sprouting Flower. Registered 1996, 1999. 2000. | |||||
