2 ½’ x 2 ½’ (1 ¾’ x 1 ¾’ in 6 years), intermediate habit. Bicolor. Buds white and deep purplish-pink. Flowers white with wide, deep purplish-pink (55A) margins, inside and out. Semi-double with 5 wavy-edged lobes and some petaloid stamens, broad funnel-shaped, 2 ½-3” wide x 1 ¾” long. Blooms heavily during late-midseason (mid to late May in Springfield, VA). Calyx green, 0.1” long. Leaves glossy, moderate yellow-green (147B) above, hairless. Leaf shape elliptic, broadly acute apex, rounded base, flat edges, up to 1 ¾” long x 1” wide. Zone 7; plant and bud hardy to 0°F. Selection number: RBS 1. Named for one of the hybridizer's granddaughters.
