| 1 ¼’ tall x 2 ¾’ wide (2 ½’ x 4 ½’ in 20 years), dense. Buds Strong Pink tones (48C), lighter along distal midrib and Pale Yellow-Green (157A) along the midrib base. Flower inside tones of Strong Pink (48Cand lighter), shading to creamy-white at the center of each lobe, Pale Yellow-Green (157A) throat, Blotch of Strong Purplish-Red (64B). Single, some with a few petaloid stamens, funnel-shaped, with rounded, overlapping lobes, wavy edges, 3 ¾” wide x 2” long, 2 per cluster. Pistil and stamens greenish-cream. Blooms heavily, midseason (early to mid May in Oak Hill, VA). Calyx Strong Yellow-Green (145A), 1/4” long. Leaves , moderate green (137B-C) spring, Moderate Olive-Green (147A) in summer, semiglossy . Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, concave (side-to-side), downcurved (base to tip), up to 1 ¾” long x ¾” wide. Zone 7. Selection number: RBS 76. Breeder code: #1-1997-2.
