| Flowers variable: 1) white with salmon-red stripes and lines; 2) fukurin: moderate salmon-pink with irregular white margins and dark blotch; 3) occasional bicolor: white center with salmon-red margins; 4) salmon-red selfs. Single, funnel-shaped with 5-7 rounded, somewhat reflexed, broadly overlapping lobes with smooth edges, 2 1/2-4”. Blooms late (early June in Oak Hill, VA; Satsuki midseason). Leaves large. Translation: Dawn Light. ‘Gominishiki’ x ‘Shokkonishiki’. Zone 7. Registered 1950 and 1977, BG 1098. | |||||
